Dark soy sauce is made from fermented soy beans with wheat, water, sugar, salt and yeast.It is aged longer than light soy sauce, in addition, caramel is added making it a thick, dark, almost syrupy sauce.It is much less salty than the light soy sauce.Dark soy sauce from PRB is concentrated dark soy sauce and has delicious instense flavor.
Although dark soy sauce also has a special soy sauce taste, it is mainly used to give a beautiful dark color to Asian dishes.Heating improves the taste, dark soy sauce is actually not used cold.
